Fisheries management

Much of the theoretical and applied components of our lab's research can have directly implications for the sustainable management of commercial and recreational fisheries. We also conduct research focused on improving technical considerations for some fisheries management quantities, for example biological reference points, and try to consider what aspects of marine fish life-history, population dynamics, and community structure should be considered when assessing the sustainability of fisheries landings.
