Although much of our lab's research focuses on Newfoundland and Labrador marine ecosystems, we also collaborate on research in other areas

We have conducted research on artisanal fisheries in coastal Tanzania, where we identified that catch data collected by coastal communities can provide useful information about fishing gear and target taxa. These information may be useful for informing co-management to produce more sustainable fisheries.
